Thanksgiving went by way too fast. Working seven 12-hour shift the 9 days prior to Thanksgiving just wore me out. I worked Wednesday night and slept very little on Thursday. But it was definitely worth it!!
Lunch at my grandma's house- oh yummy mac & cheese (my fav!) and sweet potatoes, cheesy corn made by mom and turkey and of course cranberry sauce!!! It was great to just spend time with my family and relax. Being soo busy with work prior to the holiday I have not been able to just hang out with my loved ones! After lunch we just talked about my upcoming traveling- Kenya & Fresno. It was very relaxing and refreshing!
Then for dinner I went to my best friends house- the Belton's. Dinner was turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberries and of course pumpkin pie. After dinner we played a couple games of scrabble and cranium with the whole family- Andrew's grandparents, parents, brother- Thomas and me. Just chilling with his family. Everyone just chilling in the BRP!
After dinner Andrew, Thomas, Wood, Ottis, Collins and me went to play darts and pool. Yeah I am not very good at pool- it just brings back nightmares from geometry but I did manage to get a couple of balls in the pockets!! And Wood & I just beat the Beltons in a game of cricket!!!!! Ottis and Andrew even rode their bikes just like in the summer- it was such a great time!
Friday for the first time in years I did not spend any money shopping. Instead I spent part of the day packing and moving. Then played games at the Belton's again- Monopoly City!! Great family game just maybe not so great playing the day after Thanksgiving. Thomas just got so angry because he didn't win but the rest of the family had FUN! Dinner- Turkey noodle soup :) Then over the Ellis' house with the funniest prank ever- rubberband on the kitchen sink sprayer hose!! So everytime someone turns on the sink they get sprayed with water!! Oh it was sooo funny and it was on like all night so even people who knew of the rubberband eventually got sprayed! Everyone was a good sport about it and I have not laughed that hard in a long long time!!!
Saturday more packing, sorting and moving! Sunday I took Christmas pictures for the Belton's with their horse- Dancer! It was an interesting experience taking pictures with animals. Then for dinner I did Christmas with my mom & brother since I'll be in Kenya. Pictures coming soon!
All and all I really enjoyed THANKSGIVING with my family and friends!! It went by too quick.
