Made it to Cali

My new travel assignment is in Sacramento CA for 2 months! I was really excited but a little hesitant that I would get canceled again like the last time I drove all the way to Cali from Texas. But this time the job is a GO! I started with orientation on July 3rd .


My mom and I drove from Dallas to Sacramento in 5 days. The trip totaled just over 2200 miles and we were super busy every moment. We visited many national parks & monuments. 

Here's a brief overview of our trip


DAY 1
Depart Dallas
Lunch- Amarillo
Albuquerque- Sandia Peak Tramway, dinner- Old Town, San Felipe De Neri Church
sleep- Gallup NM


DAY 2
Petrified Forest & Painted Desert Natl Parks
lunch- sandwiches at the park
Sedona Arizona- Montezuma Castle, Red Rocks, Bell Rock, Chapel on the Rock
sleep- Flagstaff AZ


DAY 3
Sunset Crater
Wupatki Monument
Grand Canyon
lunch- sandwiches at the park
Williams AZ- rootbeer float on Route 66
Hoover Dam
Las Vegas-  Bellagio Fountains, Treasure Island


DAY 4
Las Vegas- Stratosphere, M&M store, Coca Cola Store, MGM
Death Valley Natl Park
lunch- snacks in the park
Mammoth Lakes
dinner- John's Pizza 


DAY 5
Mammoth Lakes- Devils Postpile
Yoesmite Natl Park
lunch- sandwiches at the park
