My good friend Melissa from San Antonio came out to wonderful California not only to celebrate my birthday but to celebrate her birthday too! She & I first met at a local community college during the summer in swim class. Who knew that even in college you have to PE?! She attended Baylor University in Waco and I attended Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton-- both super expensive colleges. So being budget savvy individuals we took community college hours during the summers. She also swam in high school and we had a lot in common. Over the years we have never been super close like best friends but always manage to communicate and see one another. I was completely shocked and sooo happy to have a visitor from Texas to visit. We had a fun filled weekend that lacked sleep but that didn't matter to us.
