Little Roda

Roda helping her mother, Rebeka, pulling jil leaves off the stems for lunch.

Playing with balloons :)

Eating maize- handfuls at a time

Just finished manicures and pedicures with Roda and the mothers. Roda helped by holding the bottle of polish while I painted all the fingers and toes. Oh, and she didn't want anyone else to hold her. She wanted to sit in my lap the whole time. This girl has a special place in my heart forever!
Donkey cart ride to Bunj (2+ hours each way)
Roda has been at our NV for nearly 1 month. She is improving but not gaining weight. So we transferred her to another hospital for further testing and treatment. I am SOOO happy to report that she is doing well. She responded to the antibiotics and started anti-tuberculosis medications. She is gaining weight :)

Also, mother, Rebeka, is due to have a baby this month!
me & Roda before we traveled to Bunj. She is wearing her new dress and headband that was donated from churches back home.
