Sunday in Doro

Church service in Doro at the SIC church

Services start around 9:30am or whenever you hear the drums start. Church will last about 2-4 hours, various pastors from the other SIC churches in the area. Most services are spoken in Mabaan and Arabic, sometimes translated into English. Attendance varies each week from 100 to over 300- mostly children.
Anyone is invited to come to the front and sing a song. And it is highly encouraged for new visitors to sing as well. The church always invites "SIM" to the front each week. If I am the only one from my team, I usually don't go sing by myself. But if there are 2 of us we will go to the front and sing a song! I was really nervous at first but now it doesn't bother me so much. I am learning Mabaan songs from my friends which is fun :)

After church having coffee and tea with the ladies and children! Here's photo of my friend Estire and her baby Bulis.
