Shopping at Toi Market

Toi Market is the largest second-hand market I have ever seen! And they have everything- literally everything. Even nearby is a large produce market too. You can find clothes, sunglasses, bags, curtains, shoes, books, fabric, kitchen items, hats, swim suits, baby everything, jackets, linens and bedding, and so much more. It's not too far from where I am staying so I take a friend or two along for the experience. Each stall is sorted by item-- jeans or sunglasses or shoes. Most items do not have a set price so you have to bargain.

It's great to be able to go there and find "new" clothes to wear in Kenya or even things to take back to Doro. Thanks to my friend Sarah from Scotland I found the "bargain basement" where it is just a large pile of clothes to be sorted through for very cheap. Of course you have to walk down the 2 paved narrow streets, through the "tunnel" of tarps, down the 5th aisle passed the popcorn stand,  then maybe 200 yards down the dirt path and then you are there :)
