me cooking lentils at Howa's house
Lentils are all around! Usually we eat them 2 or 3 times a week. Today I was out visiting my dear friends and Howa was cooking dinner in the afternoon. I asked her what she was cooking and she said, lentils. I asked if I could cook dinner. And she let me!
Then she went and was doing laundry and other chores while I was sitting over the fire. Not only did I stir the lentils but did a very important job-- keeping the pigs away from the meal too!
My friend Eliya (age 12) took this photo of mecooking. He is learning how to use my camera, keeping the subject in the center of the photo, and doing a good job in my opinion :)
Lentils and Acida with lentils & black beans too!
